The sounds of horns, bells, whistles, and cheerleaders' sticks filled the air, a vibrant mix of red, blue, yellow, and white. On the afternoon of September 26th, the Hehai University basketball gymnasium buzzed with excitement as a thrilling basketball game unfolded between the Nanjing Kaisheng Zidian team and the Civil Engineering team.
From the number of cheerleaders and their enthusiasm to the players' commitment on the court, this game showcased all the essential elements of a great match. The court saw intense competition and thrilling moments, while the sidelines erupted with cheers and passion. A few key details from the game perfectly capture the excitement experienced by all Kaisheng employees.

The Tallest Players on the Court
Jiang Pei (No. 3, Zidian team, blue team) and Guan Ruifeng (No. 9, Civil Engineering team, white team) were undoubtedly the two tallest players on the court, each a prized asset for their respective teams. Jiang Pei stands at 2 meters, and Guan Ruifeng at 1.88 meters. Their long arms made for easy shots. Both excelled at rebounding, blocking shots, shooting, and dunking. In fact, Guan Ruifeng alone scored 11 points.
The Most Dedicated Cheerleaders
The Nanjing Kaisheng cheerleaders could be described in one word: passionate. They not only showed up but also brought an array of props to cheer on their teams. The cheerleaders from the General Mine Design Institute had the most complete collection: blue cheerleading sticks, red horns, colorful bells, and hand clappers… During the game's climax, the combined sounds of horns, whistles, hand clappers, and cheerleading sticks, mixed with shouts and applause, created an electrifying atmosphere.
The Zidian team's No. 7 player, wearing a blue uniform, was arguably the most dedicated cheerleader. Despite not being on the court, his enthusiasm was unmatched. He passionately cheered during every key moment, shouting "Move! Move!" "Good shot! Excellent!" and "Come on!" His slightly hoarse voice echoed throughout the gymnasium.

Two Consecutive Dunks
Incredible shots always catch the eye, and sometimes these incredible moments even repeat themselves, such as consecutive dunks. In the 4th quarter, the Civil Engineering team had possession, with players from both teams gathered near the front court. Zidian team's No. 6 player, Xiang Yan, was guarding the rear. Taking advantage of the Civil Engineering team's lapse in control, he snatched the ball, quickly ran towards the basket, and made a stunning dunk. Before the cheers and applause subsided, the Civil Engineering team swiftly replicated this amazing feat. The cheers from both the court and the sidelines were deafening.

Throughout the game, the Zidian team demonstrated better teamwork. While the Civil Engineering team had some skilled players, their teamwork was slightly lacking. Ultimately, the Civil Engineering team lost to the Zidian team with a score of 34 to 43.
