Nanjing Kaisen Held its 2018 Annual Summary and Commendation Meeting

On January 14, Nanjing Kaicheng's 2018 annual summary and commendation conference was held in Nanjing. Peng Shou, President of China National Building Material Co., Ltd., and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Kaisheng Technology Group, attended the meeting and delivered important instructions. Sun Jian'an, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China National Building Material International Engineering Group, and Chairman of Nanjing Kaicheng, attended the meeting and spoke. Feng Jianhua, General Manager of Nanjing Kaicheng, delivered a work report, Li Dongfeng, Deputy General Manager, presided over the meeting, and Li Jiandong, Deputy General Manager, read out various commendation decisions. Nearly 300 employees of the company in Nanjing attended the meeting.
2018 was the inaugural year for implementing the spirit of the Party's 19th National Congress, the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, and also the starting year for the company to substantially accelerate reform and promote transformational development. Over the past year, Nanjing Kaicheng diligently implemented the decisions and deployments of China National Building Material Group and China National Building Material International Engineering Group, actively responded to various challenges, achieved new progress in all aspects of work, and completed its annual development goals. Market operations achieved new breakthroughs, key markets once again performed excellently, and new market development began to show results; engineering management reached a new level, strengthening overall project management, and key projects made phased progress; scientific and technological innovation achieved new progress, with new breakthroughs in low-energy cement clinker firing and grinding technology, gradually expanding the engineering application of ultra-low emission and waste disposal technologies, and continuously optimizing and upgrading intelligent manufacturing products; resource allocation was further optimized, and the intensity of transformational development increased; cost control continued to strengthen, with significant results in accounts receivable recovery; safe production was ensured; the talent team structure was further optimized; Party building work created a new situation, and the construction of a harmonious enterprise made new progress.
In his report, Feng Jianhua reviewed the company's work and achievements in 2018, and summarized existing issues such as some cadres and employees having weak market awareness, learning awareness, and collaboration awareness; market operation capabilities needing improvement; general contracting project progress management not meeting expectations; some proprietary technologies and equipment not being widely applied in engineering; Party building work still having some gap from the requirements of the higher-level Party Committee; and the appraisal and incentive mechanism needing further improvement. He comprehensively analyzed the economic situation in 2019, pointed out the challenges and opportunities the company faces in 2019, and proposed the overall economic goals and work approach for 2019. The overall work approach for the company in 2019 is: adhere to the general principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, accelerate the cultivation of new drivers for development, persist in problem-orientation, promote innovation-driven development, break through institutional limitations, and improve development quality. In 2019, key tasks include strengthening market operations, effectively improving engineering management efficiency around the main timeline, seizing the high ground in energy saving, consumption reduction, and emission reduction technologies in the industry, intensifying talent training, deepening appraisal and distribution reforms guided by value, advancing the construction of Party conduct and clean governance, and fostering a harmonious corporate culture.
In his speech, Sun Jian'an fully affirmed the achievements made by Nanjing Kaicheng in 2018, stating that these achievements are inseparable from the hard work of all cadres and employees, and he expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone on behalf of the company's board of directors. He pointed out that General Manager Feng's summary of the company's 2018 work was very comprehensive, and the deployment for 2019 work was also very detailed, to which he fully agreed.
In his speech, Peng Shou fully affirmed Nanjing Kaicheng's work in 2018. He pointed out that since its establishment, Nanjing Kaicheng has achieved outstanding performance, stable operations, standardized management, leading engineering technology in the industry, and bravely served as a model for the group's mixed-ownership development, possessing several distinct characteristics such as excellent performance, excellent brand, excellent management, excellent technology, excellent reform, and excellent Party building. He summarized "two things that cannot be forgotten" in Nanjing Kaicheng's development history: first, Chairman Song Zhiping and President Cao Jianglin of China National Building Material Group are very concerned about Nanjing Kaicheng's development, providing strategic guidance at every critical moment of the enterprise's development, pointing out the direction for Nanjing Kaicheng; second, Feng Jianhua, as the enterprise leader, is courageous and responsible, takes the overall situation into consideration, the leadership team is united, remains true to its original aspiration, and young employees are full of vigor and vitality. He analyzed the domestic and international economic situation in 2019, pointing out that in 2019, the general principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability should continue to be adhered to; international economic uncertainties are increasing, and the domestic economy faces great pressure in its transition from high-speed development to high-quality development; the building materials industry continues its supply-side structural reform, and the engineering industry faces both opportunities and challenges, thus Nanjing Kaicheng should adhere to a comprehensive and international development path. He reported on the operating performance of China National Building Material Group and China National Building Material International Group in 2018. At the same time, he put forward several requirements for Nanjing Kaicheng's work in 2019. First, strengthen learning and continuously improve political standing. Second, highlight the main business, expand related diversification, and accelerate transformation and upgrading. Third, continue to implement innovation-led development, accelerate the construction of R&D platforms, and enhance the company's core competitiveness. Fourth, benchmark against international advanced enterprises and further strengthen management integration. Fifth, continue to deepen reforms, innovate new models for reform incentive mechanisms, stimulate employee enthusiasm and enterprise vitality, and cultivate new drivers for development. Sixth, focus on internationalization and actively seek out new strategic points. Seventh, center on core objectives, integrate Party building with management governance, production and operation, corporate culture, and honest practice, to promote Party building work to a new level. He hoped that Nanjing Kaicheng would continuously promote high-quality development and strive to be a pioneer in transformation, innovation, reform, Party building, and employee well-being.
