On August 30, 2018, the Phase I 2500t/d clinker cooler renovation project of Anhui Dajiang Co., Ltd., implemented by Nanjing Kaisheng Equipment Division, successfully passed the assessment and acceptance, with all indicators meeting the contractually agreed values.
The raw material quality of this production line is poor, and there is no pre-homogenization stockpile, which leads to large fluctuations in clinker index values. Taking saturation ratio as an example, the qualification rate of clinker saturation ratio is less than 40%. This results in unstable kiln conditions, large and unpredictable fluctuations in clinker granulation, which seriously affects the operation of the cooler, thereby impacting the clinker temperature exiting the cooler and the waste heat power generation, making it difficult to reach the contractually agreed values.
In response to this situation of the production line, the company's commissioning personnel directly interfaced with various links and responsible persons of the plant from raw materials to calcination. Through in-depth communication and exchange, the company's commissioning personnel blazed a new trail, gradually exploring a set of operating methods suitable for this production line, changing the cooler's operating strategy, which significantly improved the clinker temperature exiting the cooler and the waste heat power generation. After 3 consecutive months of operational verification, these two data fully met the contractually agreed values, gained the owner's recognition, and successfully obtained the assessment and acceptance certificate.
Through this renovation project, the company's cooler development personnel have gained a deeper understanding of the calcination system process. The experience and lessons learned during the implementation of this project are of great reference significance for the company to carry out future renovation projects.
