On the afternoon of October 12, 2018, the company's Operations Management Party Branch organized its members to visit the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders.
The Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre is recognized internationally as one of the three major atrocity museums from World War II. This place was once a site of mass killings by Japanese invaders and a mass burial ground for victims. From December 13, 1937, to November 1938, after occupying Nanjing, the Japanese invaders committed the inhumane Nanjing Massacre atrocity, causing 300,000 compatriots to suffer tragically, which shocked the world.
In the exhibition hall of "The Calamity of Humanity - Historical Exhibition of the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders", everyone viewed tens of thousands of photos of the Japanese army's massacre sites, diary reports from Chinese and foreign individuals, survivor rosters and testimonies, and diary confessions of Japanese soldiers who participated in the massacre of Nanjing's military and civilians. They also visited the "Ten Thousand Corpse Pit" Memorial Hall for victims' remains. Each piece of heartbreaking historical material, every indignant testimony, and every set of unjustly buried bones made everyone deeply feel the profound catastrophe suffered by the Chinese nation. "Let the bones sleep, let the wronged souls rest in peace, turn the butcher's knife into a warning bell, engrave the names of the departed as historical lessons, let children no longer fear, let mothers no longer weep, let war be far from humanity, and let peace spread across the world." This warning carved on the memorial hall's wall was deeply imprinted in everyone's minds.
This visit greatly inspired the patriotic fervor in the hearts of the Party members. They stated that as Communists, they will remember history, cherish peace, stay true to their original aspirations, keep their mission firmly in mind, work diligently, strive for self-improvement, and contribute their part to the greater prosperity and strength of their motherland.
